Some History
My name is Nadav Eiron. I was born and raised in Israel,
and it was there I got my private pilot license (in 1998)
and my instrument rating. I moved to California in 2000, and
got my Commercial, Multi-Engine, and various instructor
ratings here. I also became a co-owner of a Mooney 231 that
is based at San Jose International Airport
and a North American T-6G Texan that is based at
Livermore.
Flying and flight isntruction are a part-time
occupation for me. I am a computer scientist by training
and profession, and if you'd like to know more about that
part of my life, you can check out my personal home page.
Why Fly with Me?
The reason I went into the trouble and expense of becoming
a flight instructor is not because I think I'll make a
great career as an airline captain, but because flying
and teaching are two things that I really love doing, and
having the opportunity to do both at the same time seemed
just too good to pass on. What this means to you, as my
student, is that you get the benefit of working with a
professional who is more concerned about doing a good job
than he is about the next step in his career.
Being a scientist, I like to know all I can about whatever
it is I am dealing with. As pilots, one of the main things
we do is manage risks. Pilots need to constantly evaluate
the risks and chances ahead of them, and know how
to manage those risks. In that context, knowledge is power.
I try to instill the same knowledge and judgement in my
students. I believe the more you know about flying, the
safer you are as a pilot.
What I can do for you
Obviously, I'll be happy to help you with your primary
training towards a private
pilot certificate, and instrument rating, or
any of the advanced ratings or certificates. I co-own
and fly a turbo-charged Mooney 231. You will
therefore find me very knowledgable about
high-performance airplanes and their engines, as well as
using such an airplane as a practical cross-country
IFR travelling machine.
